Dear all,
IMPACT
For those who have an interest in the IMPACT Foundation, an RIBI project in PRIBIP Peter Offer's year, BBC4 are screening a programme on the Lifeline Express Hospital Train this Thursday (26th) at 9pm. Hopefully Rotary, as a major funder will get a mention. IMPACT (India) undertook the majority of cataract operations funded by Clubs through Stevenage Grange's ROI project last year.
Next Bulletin
Lots of material coming out of RIBI on International projects. I expect more when I attend the RIBI Assembly in 2 weeks time. As I have had little material for the Bulletin, which I was hoping to issue before District Conference, this will now be issued in the second week of April so we can pick up some great stories that will put Rotary in the news, I am told!.
So still time to get material to me if you wish to promote your Club's doings.
Major new RI Water initiative
Rather than wait for the Bulletin to cover it, RI have just released news of another new partnership ... this time with USAID called H2O Collaboration. Frank Taylor has picked this up for the Committee as our waterman, but you can read more by clicking on this RI weblink and following the stories through http://www.rotary.org/en/Pages/ridefault.aspx
RI Convention
Finally followng pressure by the Organisation Committee on RI, RIBI members can now visit the Rotary Convention House of Friendship at the NEC without paying to register for the Convention. The HofF promises to be a galaxy of entertainment from Saturday 21st to Wednesday 25th and should be great fun as can be seen from this Convention link http://www.rotary.org/en/Pages/ridefault.aspx Stevenage Grange will be exhibiting, so why not have a day out and experience the full benefit of International at its best. Application forms are avaialble from the same site.
Best wishes, hope to see many of you at Conference next weekend
Stephen
