Dear International Chair,

For those of you who were not at District Council this week, I
distributed the following notice, giving details of future possible
trips to distant Districts. Two very successful exchanges have now
been completed, with new friendships forged and wonderful experiences
had by all, hosts and guests.

As well as seeking interest in future exchanges, we also need extra
hosts for Canadian visitors next May, even if they cannot go to Canada
themselves later in the year.

If your Secretary does not announce this, please do so, and/or
circulate it by email to all your members.

Best Rotary wishes
Paul Ryall
Friendship Exchange Chair

My circular is:

FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE

District 1260 District, International Services Committee

The best of Rotary Fellowship Overseas

UPDATE: July 2009

Our District has now had the return visits from South Australia, and
from District 9910 in New Zealand, which were much enjoyed by all.

We are now looking forward to several possibilities for more
magnificent fellowship with Rotarians in other parts of the world.

HOW ABOUT YOU NEXT TIME?

1 District 7820, eastern Canada is definitely going ahead, with
us hosting first, in April/May 2010 (more hosts wanted please), and
the visit to maritime Canada in about September 2010. Please contact
me urgently if you are interested, as there are still places for 1 or
2 more couples.

2 District 6420, central Illinois, Chicago to the Mississippi,
not yet definite, but 1 or 2 more couples (with me) should make it a
“goer”, probably spring 2010.

3 Dist 9800 in Victoria, Oz, extending from Melbourne to Bendigo,
probably early 2011, getting away from our winter!

4 North-west Turkey still contact me “with a view”, and I have
also had an invite from District 3132 in central India.

IT IS UP TO YOU. I can guarantee a wonderful experience.

PLEASE let me know ASAP if you are at all interested in any of them,
and if so what time is best for you. I know it is some time ahead, but
these things do take some time to plan. Contact me on paulryall at tiscali.co.uk
, 01296 634929 or 07961 443533. I am always happy to visit your club
meeting to talk about Rotary Friendship Exchange, either a 2-minute
spot, or a slide show or video as speaker.
